Devin Fontenot

Devin Fontenot was born and raised in Lake Charles, Louisiana. He is a graduate of Barbe High School, and obtained his bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from McNeese State University.

During his time at McNeese, Devin was a member of and served in several peer elected leadership positions in Kappa Alpha Fraternity. He relocated to Baton Rouge to attend Southern University Law Center, where he served on the Journal for Race, Gender and Poverty. He graduated in 2015 with Cum Laude honors.

Upon graduation, Devin and his wife, Jessica, returned to Lake Charles. Since graduating, Devin has practiced various areas of law—discovering a passion for Family Law and Personal Injury. He prides himself on setting clear expectations and getting his clients the best possible outcomes. This straightforward approach has earned him the respect of his clients and colleagues alike. Following in his family’s entrepreneurial footsteps, Devin opened his own office in 2020. He has also served his community by representing juveniles of Calcasieu Parish through the Public Defender’s Office and acts as the current attorney for Oasis Women’s Shelter.

Devin and Jessica have two sons, Warner and Owen. Devin’s time outside the office is spent with his family. He enjoys supporting his sons as they explore sports and taking the family on outdoor adventures. His passion for his own family has fueled his growth and success as an attorney.
